well, my weekend was spectacular... my hubby and i went to bukit tinggi on sunday and had quite a good time there... we went to the japanese garden and walked, walked and walked... then we went to colmar tropicale... then to the rabbit park and then, nothing else better to do, we went to genting...
when i was in the japanese garden, i observe something funny about us, malaysians... there was a sign which reads "do not pluck any flowers"... i interpret it as "do not pluck anything that is growing on trees"... although some may interpret it as "as long as i don't pluck the flowers, i can pluck any other things, including uprooting the entire plant"... and then, i saw people, lots of them, plucking flowers here and there... the most disgusting one was a father, plucking almost everything for his children... i thought fathers should show good examples, but funny how he set those examples... the father broke the rule literally... and there was another women uprooted the entire plant... can't these people just go, and enjoy the beauty of nature without causing additional destruction?
after the garden walk, we went to colmar tropicale... nice place... it's lunch time, and we're hungry, so we went to hunt for food... well, it's expensive everywhere... half a roasted chicken cost more than 30 bucks... and we thought, we need to eat... so we went, and guess what, there really wasn't a lot of people in that place, and they told us that we need to wait for 20 minutes before we get to eat... so we decided that we should go to another place... then we went to the cafe, they serve buffet lunch, and like usual, the word "buffet" brightens my day... so we went, and the place was crowded, no place at all... disappointed, we left, still hungry... still searching for a place to eat... we passed by this fine dining place, serving french cuisine... i thought to myself, must be really expensive... but i am hungry right? nothing i can do, no where else to go, so we went... to our surprise, the place, is not expensive at all... the set lunch, is only 35 bucks per pax... unbelievable? believe it! so we had a very nice and yummy lunch, for a very reasonable price... so, the next time any of you visits bukit tinggi, you should go to this place... i am not sure how you spell the name of the place, but i think it's le cognigne... or something like that la...
initially, we thought we want to spend a night in bukit tinggi, but since we did not book a hotel, and there was nothing much to be done there in the night, we changed our plans and went to genting... reached there almost evening... we went straight to 1st world, because the theme park is there... walked around for a while... and then decide to go to casino... don't laugh, i have not been there before... it's was my first time... so we went in... walked around... i wanted to try the slot, so i played for a while... then hubby taught me how to play keno... and we played for a while... and then, we went for dinner... after dinner, we walked around for a while and then, we tried the horse racing (computerised @latte), until now, we only loose... not a lot of money la... only about 100 plus plus... we are not gamblers la... and then we tried roulette... surprisingly, i was good at it... won some money... but over a very long period of time, because we don't bet big... at the end, we won enuff money to cover for the expenses of the trip...
then, i was feeling sleepy and thought we should go... look at my watch, guess... it's morning already... it's 5 in the morning... and since i have applied for the genting world card, i have a complimentary hotel stay, so we wanted to check to see if there are rooms... sure enuff, there wasn't any rooms available... it's school holidays, remember? then we decide to go home... so we left genting in the wee hours of the morning... and i slept in the car... reaching the karak highway, my hubby also feeling sleepy, stop at one of the R&R, and we slept... until about 8, or 9, can't remember, we went home and i fell onto my bed almost immediately... sleep till lunch time... woke up, eat, and then sleep again... in the evening, my hubby went back to pee dee and i slept rather early too... on tuesday, back at work but still felt like a panda... and today, no better yet... i am still exhausted... and then, i remembered this blog, so i thought i'd update it today, and i did... and i wrote a very long one today... for those of you who came to this point without yawning... i salute you...
